Businesses in south Shropshire that are looking to grow are being invited to a one-off workshop in Bishops Castle to explore the funding options they can tap into.
The Marches Growth Hub Shropshire has teamed up with Enterprise House to host the event on July 10 at Enterprise House in Station Street, Bishops Castle.
The three-hour workshop starts at 10am and will guide businesses through funding schemes that offer grants from £10,000 to £167,000 for small and medium-sized enterprises under the Business Growth Programme umbrella.
The funds in the programme are the Business Development Programme, the Business Innovation Programme, the Green Bridge Supply Chain Programme and the HS2 Supply Chain Programme.
The Business Growth Programme is managed by Birmingham City Council’s Business Development & Innovation Team and part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund.
Enterprise South West provides IT, business and office support to organisations in the rural south west of the county. Using its base at Enterprise House in Bishop’s Castle it is able to help businesses tailor individual solutions.
The Marches Growth Hub provides a single point of access to all local and national business support information through a dedicated website and three physical hubs. The workshop is one of a number of outreach events it hosts across the Marches so businesses can access its services, regardless of location.
Amy Farley, from the Marches Growth Hub, said: "This workshop will provide a clear explanation of the funds that make up the Business Growth Programme and the criteria that applies for each grant.
"We will give guidance on how to prepare a great application and make the most of the funds on offer."
