We use the following web services to contact our subscribers and gather statistical information on user behaviour to allow us to improve our services:
MailChimp; Through the Marches Growth Hub website you can sign up for our email newsletters. If you do this, the email address you submit will be forwarded to our email marketing services provider, Mailchimp, along with any name you give us on sign-up. We consider Mailchimp to be a third party data processor. You can read the Mailchimp Privacy Policy on their website. Mailchimp may store your data in the United States, however as we do not collect sensitive data (under the current definitions) it remains compliant with the relevant legislation. The email address you submit to us will not be stored within this website’s own database.
We use a two-step login process for Mailchimp, which generates a one-time code. This provides an extra layer of protection for your data.
You can ask us what data we hold for you in Mailchimp or request to be removed from our list at any time. When requesting removal please use the email account that is subscribed to the mailing list in question.
If you are under 16 years of age you MUST obtain the consent of a parent or guardian before joining our email newsletter list.
Microsoft; is our email provider with company email addresses administered by the Shropshire Council IT teams. Email data and contents are stored in a UK-based data centre and may also be stored on our organisation’s computers under multi-layered password protection, in addition to being accessed by employees on mobile devices under the Shropshire Council’s BOYD (Bring Your Own Device) policy.
For ease of administration and the securing of their deletion, emails are kept in designated email folders, which store information that can identify personal details, this may include:

Evolutive; is used as our GDPR Compliant ‘Cloud-based’ Customer Relationship Management database system (CRM), which allows us to maintain contact information in addition to a log of enquiries and interactions to facilitate our enquirer’s wishes and execute subsequent contractual obligations.

Hotjar; We use Hotjar in order to better understand our users’ needs and to optimize this service and experience. Hotjar is a technology service that helps us better understand our users’ experience (e.g. how much time they spend on which pages, which links they choose to click, what users do and don’t like, etc.) and this enables us to build and maintain our service with user feedback. Hotjar uses cookies and other technologies to collect data on our users’ behaviour and their devices. This includes a device’s IP address (processed during your session and stored in a de-identified form), device screen size, device type (unique device identifiers), browser information, geographic location (country only), and the preferred language used to display our website.
