Ten businesses in Telford are to get a unique opportunity to put themselves in a position to win new investors.
The Investment Readiness Programme is fully funded and is the first of its kind to be run in Telford giving the selected businesses unique access to a handpicked panel of investors.
During the three-month programme, businesses will take part in workshops and mentoring sessions before a Dragon’s Den-style pitch event where each company will have a 10 minute slot to present their investment pitch, followed by a Q&A session with the investors.
There will be two half-day workshops at Maxi House in Halesfield and four hours on individual mentoring sessions which will help firms to understand the investment landscape, craft a compelling investment story, learn financial modelling and valuation techniques, understand the legal considerations and practice delivering the pitch, honing communication and presentation skills and handling questions.
To apply, businesses must be based in the Telford & Wrekin borough, have been trading for at least 12 months, have demonstrable potential for growth and be willing to commit to all parts of the programme.
