Roadshow sets scene for exporting Down Under

Published: February 1st, 2024

Exporting to the other side of the world might seem daunting, but a special event in Birmingham promises to open your eyes to doing business in Australia or New Zealand and understanding how the Free Trade Agreement can support your business aspirations.

The UK-Australia Free Trade Agreement and the UK-New Zealand Free Trade Agreement came into force last May, signifying a big change in our trading relationship with the two countries.

A special roadshow hosted by the Department for Business & Trade and counterparts from Australia and New Zealand will visit six cities across the UK in March, offering presentations and interactive sessions to explain the business opportunities that exist in both countries.

The first stop on the tour will be the Royal Leonardo Hotel, on Broad Street, Birmingham (formerly Jury’s Inn) on Wednesday, March 6 from 9.15am until 2:30pm.

There will be updates on doing business in both countries, with a focus on digital and tech (including AgriTech and food and beverage), green growth including infrastructure and energy, financial and professional services, defence and security, and manufacturing, with the DBT in-market advisors and experts providing key information and guidance.

Visit the event page for more information and to register.
