Industrial companies from across the Marches are being urged to apply to a £30million fund to help them improve their energy efficiency.
Phase 1 of the Industrial Energy Transformation Fund (IETF) – which offers grants starting from £250,000 – opens on 20 July 2020 and businesses are being urged to apply.
The scheme will provide funding for:

projects deploying technologies that improve energy efficiency, specifically of industrial processes

feasibility and engineering studies of energy efficiency and deep decarbonisation projects
The programme is open to organisations within the manufacturing SIC codes 10-33 as well as data centres.
A spokesman for the scheme said the minimum grant companies could receive for energy efficiency deployment projects would be £250,000.
"The total eligible costs for engineering studies must be at least £100,000 and the total eligible costs for feasibility studies must be at least £60,000."
The fund is being managed by Innovate UK with up to £30 million of funding available.
