Sustaining Shropshire

edit

The ‘Sustaining Shropshire’ project’s vision is to promote sustainable practices in local businesses, creating a more resilient community that balances economic growth with innovation in technology and environmental stewardship.

Sustaining Shropshire will continue to build on the successful AGRI project by focusing on the county, providing support to Shropshire based SMEs to innovate in order to exploit growing market opportunities identified in the 2019 Marches LEP Strategic Economic Plan, focussing on key Agri-tech and Food and Drink sectors and their associated supply chains.

The Agricultural Engineering Precision Innovation Centre (Agri-EPI) will partner Harper Adams University in delivery of the project, which was established as part of the UK government’s Agri-Tech Strategy to develop, fund, and commercialise new precision Agri-tech by fostering relationships between researchers, start-ups, investors, and farmers to bring the latest innovations to reality.
