Free online support service for employers and managers to help support disability or health conditions in the workplace


The Department for Work & Pensions offers an online advice service to assist employers in supporting their employees’ health and those with a disability, and also understand any legal requirements around this.

The service also links to other government departments and organisations that can offer help.

The guidance will assist employers with:

  • managing absences and keeping in touch
  • having conversations with your employee, in and out of work
  • deciding on changes to help them stay or come back to work
  • protecting your business and your employees with policies and procedures
