Community Energy Fund

Up to £100,000 is available to community groups to develop energy projects in their local area.

The Community Energy Grant is a £10m grant scheme funded by the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero. The scheme aims to support urban and rural communities to turn energy projects from ideas to investable schemes.

The funding will help to kickstart clean energy projects including small-scale wind farms, rooftop solar partnerships, heat networks, electric vehicle charging, and more.

The Community Energy Fund aims to empower local people to:

📍Increase community-owned low-carbon energy assets

🤝Boost local private investment

🏢Support local green jobs and volunteering opportunities
