Can you host a student placement?

Free student work placements from the University Centre Shrewsbury

edit

Could your business use some additional support or maybe a fresh pair of eyes?

Let Work Based Learning at the University of Chester assist you.

The business support projects at University Centre Shrewsbury work closely with Work Based Learning or WBL for short – to help provide placements for second year students. Each year many of our supported businesses host students for a five-week placement.

This is free to your business and can take place in person, virtual or hybrid, reflecting the changing nature of the workplace.

Students require a minimum of 150 hours over a five week period and this is set between Monday 24th April – Friday 26th May 2023. On placement, students learn vital transferable skills to help prepare them for the competitive graduate jobs market whilst contributing significantly to the work of the host organisation.

Students who complete this academic employability module are second year undergraduates from across the whole university who can be given a specific project, offer fresh ideas and a new perspective and provide an extra pair of hands at no extra cost.
