Elite Plastics Hereford

Elite Plastics Hereford

Who we are

We are Elite Plastics Limited, based in Hereford. At our production site we produce polythene films, bags and covers, running twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.

We aim to be one of the most progressive polythene production operators in the UK by moving towards a low, preferably net zero carbon strategy with the help of Business Energy Efficiency Programme (BEEP) and our Energy Advisor. In doing this, we will be able to offer our customers, which include some major UK brands, the opportunity to purchase and use lower carbon emitting polyethene products. This will help our customers achieve their corporate responsibility goals and reduce their carbon emissions, especially with increasing consumer pressure.

Our journey with Business Energy Efficiency Programme (BEEP)

We heard about BEEP from our Energy Advisor.

The BEEP grant funding, managed by Worcestershire County Council, enabled us to progress with replacing high energy consuming machinery and invest in new cleaner technologies much quicker than we otherwise would have.

Where we might have taken two to five years to do some of these projects, BEEP grant funding enabled us to implement these carbon saving changes and allowed us to reap the benefits much quicker and significantly reduced our carbon footprint.

“We’re showing over 700 tonnes of savings to date, and that’s just going to increase now year on year on year.” Josh Salmon Commercial Director, Elite Plastics
