What is a Growth Hub?

As you’re here, we hope you’ve got a fairly good idea of what the Marches Growth Hub can offer to businesses in Herefordshire, Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin. We’re actually one of more than 30 across the UK, developed by LEPs to support businesses based here.

In recent years, the provision of business support has become patchy. Our own research found many businesses didn’t know where to go for support, information and guidance. So to limit confusion, the Government is funding the development of Growth Hubs in local areas.

The Growth Hubs will be a repository of up-to-date information, advice and support for new and existing businesses.

Ours is a virtual hub – a website with a dedicated email enquiry and telephone line and three physical hubs are planned for Hereford, Shrewsbury and Telford.

On our website, we’ve developed a Support Finder tool which signposts businesses to access to training, finance and local authority services. Give it a try. And please let us know what you think.
