Drop in event for construction firms

Businesses in the construction industry which might be interested in taking on an apprentice are being invited to a special open day.

SBC Training are staging the drop-in event at their base on Centurion Park on Thursday April 27.

Visitors can drop in any time between 8am-10am or 4pm-6pm and view the construction centre, talk about grants, meet the tutors and see some of the trainees.

A spokesman said: “If you are an employer in the construction sector – whatever the size of your business – then this drop in event is ideal for you.

“Come and have a look at our construction centre in Shrewsbury and find out the next steps in taking on an apprentice, meet the tutors and find out about annual grants of up to £11,000.”

Food and drink will be available during both time slots.
