This year, Young Enterprise teams will again be showcasing their fledgling businesses and setting up stalls at trade fairs in Telford and Shrewsbury shopping centres. They will be selling their products to shoppers and impressing the judges with their business expertise on January 28 and February 11 at The Darwin Centre in Shrewsbury and March 4 and March 11 in the Telford Shopping Centre.
These fledgling businesses have a limited amount of time to develop their commercial skills into viable businesses and are judged against national criteria. As well as producing business plans and providing financial information, each team has to deliver a 4 minute presentation to judges. The University of Wolverhampton has kindly offered to host the presentations which will be held at the Priorslee Campus on March 22 and 23.
Shropshire has a very special awards evening for Young Enterprise teams which is sponsored by, and attended by, leading businesses in the county. Young Enterprise will be celebrating the achievements of our young people with business leaders at The Park Inn in Telford on Thursday May 4, 2017.
Young Enterprise are very well supported in Shropshire having a very active Local Volunteer Board and lots of local business people willing to give up their time to help our young people but they are always grateful for any support.
