Ambitious businesswomen across the UK are invited to apply for their share of a £2.5 million funding pot.
Innovate UK, as part of UK Research and Innovation, is awarding fifty £50,000 grants to women entrepreneurs across the UK in the Women in Innovation Awards.
The competition is open to founders, co-founders and senior decision makers working within small and medium-sized enterprises that are at least a year old.
Innovate UK will be supporting ideas that focus on promoting effective change within important societal, environmental and economic challenges as well as inspiring potential like-minded businesspeople.
Alongside a £50,000 grant, successful applicants will be supported by a personalised package of mentoring, coaching and business advice from business experts to give their projects the best chance of success.
The competition is open from August 22 until October 19, consisting of two phases – an assessment of each development project followed up by an interview for shortlisted applicants.
