The Marches Growth Hub is keen to ensure that businesses in the region are able to take advantage of the considerable business opportunities available both via its local authority partners and other larger private and public sector organisations.
New chair sought for Marches Growth Hub
Are you an inspirational businessperson with a proven record of success who now wants to give something back?
The Marches Local Enterprise Partnership is seeking a new chair for the Marches Growth Hub - the one-stop centre for business advice, support and help across Herefordshire, Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin.
We are looking for motivated, ambitious businesspeople who have set up and run successful companies in the region or helped manage them and now want to help others develop and grow their own businesses.
You will have a wealth of bright ideas about how the Growth Hub can continue its mission to help businesses thrive and grow, be a passionate champion for the business community but also understand the key role of the public sector in supporting and enabling growth.
You will have a keen eye for detail and an ear to the ground about what help and support businesspeople really need across our region and the energy and commitment to help steer the Growth Hub on to continued success in challenging times.
It is essential that you can demonstrate a clear understanding of the role the Growth Hub plays in the regional economy, as well as having a firm grasp of the role and responsibilities of the Marches Local Enterprise Partnership. Applications are particularly encouraged from individuals who have been supported by the Growth Hub or Marches LEP in some way in the past.
This is a voluntary role which is as rewarding as it is demanding. The successful applicant will chair four meetings a year, attend relevant national events as the Growth Hub's representative and report into the board of the Marches Local Enterprise Partnership, making a crucial contribution to the economic prosperity of the region. Reasonable travel expenses will be covered.
If you think this is the role for you please send brief covering letter addressed to Marches LEP CEO Gill Hamer and a CV to Steve Kenny, Admin Officer at email@example.com
