We all know that when it comes to improving the environment, ditching the car can make a big difference – it reduces congestion and pollution and it’s good for your health.

Making a change on a regular basis can really add up and there’s an initiative in Hereford that’s offering even more incentives to encourage you to can the car for at least one day a month.

Choose Day is organised by Hereford Move, which is funded by the Department of Transport, and takes place on the first Tuesday of each month in Rotherwas.

People who walk, cycle, car share or take the bus to their workplace in Rotherwas on August 6 will be rewarded with a free filled roll and drink at Edison’s Coffee Shop.

The Choose Day team will be at Edison’s between 10am and 2pm on August 6 with the opportunity to try out Beryl Bikes, a new bike share scheme for Hereford, and they’ll be giving out free walking and cycling goodies and information.

The following Choose Day will be held on September 3 at Pikadish Diner.
