The Business Growth Through Upskilling project provides fully funded training to businesses in the Shropshire Council area under two programmes.
Active Leadership Programme
The development of leadership skills is key to retaining talent and enhancing competitiveness.
The Active Leadership Programme is an innovative solution to the challenges faced by business leaders today. With the world evolving at a rapid pace, leaders must be equipped with the right set of skills and tools to stay ahead of the curve.
The course will focus on three main elements:
The programme includes 5 days of targeted workshops delivered by local experts, plus 3 hours of 1-1 coaching.
Two managerial participants can attend from each business, and each place has a value of £4,500. The course is fully funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and no fees need to be paid by the participant.
Participants will be asked to complete some post workshop activities to embed learning.
Team Upskilling Programme
Upskilling staff is a great way for businesses to attract and retain top talent. It allows employees to gain new skills, become more valuable assets, and assume additional responsibilities. It can also boost productivity and make businesses more agile and resilient, ensuring their longevity. Companies that actively upskill their staff through training have a clear market advantage when recruiting.
The Team upskilling programme will consist of various short training courses held at venues in Shropshire Market Towns. Managers can book up to 2 places on a course for employees to develop their skills.
The project can support small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) of any sector based in the Shropshire Council area.
