A special showcase for anyone considering starting their own business or who has just done so is being staged in Telford.
The Marches Growth Hub Telford and the Shropshire Chamber of Commerce have joined forces to stage the event on July 13 at AFC Telford United.
The event – called Start Up Support Showcase: Showing you the route to success – will bring together a range of experts and successful start-up businesses to show you how to succeed.
A spokesman said the Start Up Showcase event was especially for:
- Individuals wanting to start a business but who are not yet trading
- Businesses that have just started trading, including social enterprises
- New businesses – under 3 years old including social enterprises
“We are bringing together the main programmes and organisations that can help you start up and succeed, as well as two local business owners that will tell you what it took for them to become successful and what they learned along the way, with the aim of inspiring and motivating you to continue on your journey.”
Those taking part include successful business owners Joe Lockley, the director of Bright Star Boxing Academy & winner of the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service (QAVS) 2021 and Tim Luft, executive director of Luft Technologies Ltd & Dealmaker for the UK Government Global Entrepreneur Programme.
Also involved are start up and growth specialists Good2Great, start up loans delivery partner Biz Britain, Natwest, the X-Forces Enterprise Programme and the Armed Forces Business Covenant, The Prince’s Trust and regional grant programmes.
