Companies across the Marches which are owned or part-owned by foreign investors can now access specialist business support.
The new Key Account Management (KAM) project, developed by the Department for International Trade, and support by the Marches LEP and its local authority partners, is aimed at helping foreign owned companies which make up around 15 per cent of the region’s business base.
KAM allows businesses with foreign investment to tap into the expertise of inward investment teams, whether they are looking for support with expansion plans, recruitment or access to innovation, research and development advice and guidance.
To access support, companies must be:
- Foreign owned (e.g. they must have a minimum 10% foreign ownership by one single stakeholder and there must be an overseas patent)
- Existing investors who are already established in the UK
- Not normally be account managed by anyone else in the DIT network.
