Businesses across Shropshire are being urged to enter the county’s biggest awards event as it marks its 20th anniversary.

This year’s awards – which are open to all businesses in the county – were launched at a packed event in Shrewsbury with guests including the current Shropshire Company of the Year Pave Aways.

A Chamber spokesman said: "With 2020 being the 20th Anniversary of the Shropshire Chamber Business Awards, it will come as no surprise that our event, which already carries a national reputation, will this year be bigger and better than ever before.

"The introduction of new awards, new opportunities and the Champion of Champions will make for a fantastic evening with some 1,000 anticipated guests in attendance."

The Champion of Champions category is open to previous Company of the Year winners to mark two decades of business success across the county.

  • Best Online Business

  • Outstanding Customer Service

  • Technology, Enterprise and Innovation

  • Apprenticeships

  • Best New Business 1-5 employees

  • Best New Business 6+ employees

  • Best Small Business 1-5 employees

  • Best Small Business 6 -20 employees

  • Environmental Technology

  • Business and School Engagement 1-5 employees

  • Business and School Engagement 6+ employees
  • The John Clayton Award

Deadline for entries is April 24 with shortlisting for the awards starting the following week. Tickets for the awards night – June 12 at the Telford International Centre – are currently on sale at £99 each.

The Chamber is also staging an exhibition and full-day conference at the Telford venue on the same day, with conference tickets priced at £65 plus VAT.
