The Hub News Team | 6.12.17

**Unfortunately the trade mission to Auto Expo has been cancelled. Details of future trade missions can be found on our events calendar or contact the Marches Growth Hub on 0345 6000 727**

Manufacturers and businesses in the automotive supply chain have just days left to register to join a trade mission to India's largest industry exhibition next year.

Expressions of interest to attend Auto Expo Components in Delhi in February in a visit led by the Midlands Engine must be submitted by December 11.

Auto Expo is India´s largest and most important event for automobiles and automotive components and the visit will give manufacturers the opportunity to present their products to a broad trade audience from the entire subcontinent

More than a million visitors attend the event and the 2018 theme will have a special emphasis on technological innovations and focus on technologies that are driving product innovation, efficient manufacturing and logistics.

The programme involves a visit to Ricardo/Tata Motors, a reception at the British Consulate in Mumbai and two days at Auto Expo Components.

Yasmin Sulaman, Business Support Officer from the Marches Growth Hub said the mission was an opportunity for businesses looking to enhance their export trade.

"This trip will offer a comprehensive insight into the Indian automotive market, the market requirements and export advice and other crucial information for making a success of any dealings you have with organisations based in India.

"Most importantly, it will allow businesses the opportunity to make face to face contact with potential buyers or suppliers. The possibilities within the Indian automotive industry are huge and this trade mission could open doors for businesses in Shropshire."

The trip leaves on February 3 and will return on February 10. A commitment fee of £250 (+VAT) applies to each organisation with extra delegates from the same organisation charged an additional £150 (+VAT) per person. Hotels and flights are not included.

Financial support is available for companies in the Midlands Engine area that meet the required eligibility criteria as detailed on the application form.
