Businesses which have been forced to close during the current Covid-19 lockdown are being offered new help by the Marches' three local authorities.
Herefordshire Council, Shropshire Council and Telford & Wrekin Council have all opened applications for the Local Restrictions Support Grant, with millions of pounds of support available across the region.

Businesses that can apply include non-essential retail, leisure, personal care (such as hairdressers and nail salons), entertainment, sports facilities and hospitality.
The grant amount is linked to the businesses rateable value, as follows:

• Rateable value between £15,001 and £49,999 - £2,000 grant
• Rateable value of £51,000 or over - £3,000 grant
Herefordshire Council says it is contacting businesses it has identified as eligible for this grant via email but companies can contact them direct at firstname.lastname@example.org.
