The Midlands Engine initiative aims to boost economic growth across the Midlands, including through enhanced trade and investment. The Department for International Trade is looking to lead a market visit to this year’s TRAKO International Railway Fair, with a bespoke programme designed to turn your export aspirations into a reality.

Taking place every two years, TRAKO attracts more than 15,000 visitors, 600 exhibitors in 20,000m2 of exhibition space, bringing together all elements of the rail industry from passenger rail, light rail, freight as well as infrastructure with industry attendance and participation from across the board.
During the visit to TRAKO International Railway Fair in Gdansk, Poland, from September 26 to 29, you can expect to:
• Visit an operator and see first hand how your offer may sit in this rail market
• Participate in a programme of seminars by key Polish rail organisations
• Benefit from an Exhibition stand in the UK Pavilion and feature in a Mission Brochure showcasing your strengths
This visit is perfect for businesses which have never exported before. It’s also ideal if you haven’t exported in the last 12 months, you export less than 10% of your turnover, or you export to 3 or less countries.
