Business owners in Herefordshire are being urged to climb aboard the Small Business Saturday Bus when it sets down in Leominster as part of its nationwide tour this month.
The bus will pitch up in Corn Square on November 14 between 10am and 2pm to offer business advice to owners.
Staff from the Marches Growth Hub, the one stop shop business support service for the region, will be climbing on board to offer free mentoring sessions to discuss access to the funding, support and advice that is available.
There will also be hands-on activities laid on for the public to promote local support for the annual grassroots campaign that encourages people to support independent and small traders.
The Small Business Saturday Bus is travelling the length of the UK ahead of Small Business Saturday, which takes place on December 1, stopping at 30 different cities to promote the campaign. The Leominster visit is the only stop in the Marches area.
The annual campaign has spread to the UK after originating in the USA in 2010. It aims to support and promote small businesses, on the first Saturday in December each year.
It encourages businesses to promote themselves and work with other small organisations as well as inspiring consumers to ‘shop local’ and support the small, independent businesses in their communities.
Rachel Jones from the Marches Growth Hub Herefordshire, said: "The Marches is a creative and entrepreneurial region and supporting independent and small traders at all stages of their development is crucial to allow this to continue.
"We’ll be available to answer questions on a whole host of issues that might be affecting small traders and explain what help is available to them.
"The Marches Growth Hub has an overview of all the different strands of national and local business support and we can signpost people to them and help their business grow and thrive."
