Businesses from across the Marches are being urged to sign up for a special free event to help them break into new overseas markets.
The Department for International Trade’s virtual Explore Export event – running from May 18 to 20 – will feature 62 advisers representing more than 40 markets around the world.
The chance to book 20-minute meetings with sector specialist Trade Advisers or export growth advisers is now live – giving businesses a unique chance to explore export opportunities for their products and services.
A range of webinars has also been uploaded so that businesses can explore some of the markets before booking a meeting.
A spokesman said experts from across Europe, Africa, Latin America, Korea, Singapore and Vietnam were taking part in the event.
“This is a great opportunity for West Midlands companies to discuss the export prospects for their products or services with DIT trade advisers and partner organisations across the globe.
“You can also meet with our Business Culture and Communications Adviser who can help you understand overseas business cultures, and also with a UK Export Finance Manager (UKEF). UKEF is the government’s export credit agency and has a range of finance and insurance products designed to help you win contracts, fulfil orders and get paid.”
Confirmed markets so far are: Africa (Market Entry Team), Austria, Belgium, Czechia (the Czech Republic), Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Korea, Latin America (Chile, Ecuador, Colombia, Peru, Central America, Mexico), Moldova, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Singapore, Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Vietnam.
