Ambitious and innovative SMEs across the marches are being urged to apply for help from a special scheme to get them investment ready.
Innovate UK Edge’s Pitchfest helps SMEs to develop their investor pitch in order to raise finance.
Pitchfest – which is a funded offering for company’s looking to raise at least £500,000 of investment – offers two days of comprehensive pitch training, access to leading pitch and investment experts and bespoke support from a dedicated innovation and growth specialist.
It also provides an opportunity to build a clear, compelling and credible investment proposition, introductions to active investor networks in your region and across the UK and constructive no-risk feedback from a panel of real investors.
Applications to the scheme – decided by a competitive selection process – must be made by March 11.
A spokesman said: “To apply, your company should be a UK registered, high-growth innovative SME interested in internationalisation and seeking to raise £500k+ of investment. If you are seeking to raise less, please make a case when describing your investment plan.
“Your business will need to be looking to pitch to investors (Business Angel / Venture Capital finance), with a minimum of £100k in turnover / sales pipeline / route to market secured.”
