A number of events to help budding entrepreneurs, company owners and social enterprises grow their business will be on offer in Herefordshire as part of an international celebration this month.
The workshops and networking opportunities will be held from November 14 to 16 during Global Entrepreneurship Week.
It kicks off with a freetwo-day fully funded package of business start-up workshops and coaching support organised by The Marches Growth Hub at the Business Solutions Centre at Skylon Park, Hereford, on November 14 and 15.
This short course includes follow-up action planning, business diagnostic advice and individual one-to-one coaching for anyone who is aiming to set up their own business.
Free one to one clinics on the funding and support that is available to grow a business will take place with experts from the Marches Growth Hub Herefordshire at the Business Solutions Centre on November 15.
And social enterprises are invited to attend a no-fee two-hour session there on November 16 that will celebrate organisations working in the sector followed by a two-hour presentation about online advertising with networking and a complementary lunch.
Herefordshire and Worcestershire’s Chamber of Commerce networking breakfast will also take place during Entrepreneurship Week on November 15 at Bughill Golf Club from 7.30am. It costs £17.5 for members and £35 for non-members.
Around 35,000 events and competitions will take place during #GEW2017 – connecting nearly 10 million participants to potential collaborators, mentors and even investors. Dozens of world leaders on every continent and a network of more than 15,000 partner organizations support the initiative every year.
Yasmin Sulaman, Business Support Officer, from the Marches Growth Hub, said: "Many people have great ideas for their own business but can find it daunting taking the first steps on their business journey.
"The two-day workshop will provide invaluable support and advice on how to make a business start up a success with on-going guidance from experts who can help you avoid the common pitfalls.
"The other events will support those businesses that are more established and looking to grow with the same entrepreneurial spirit that we support at the Marches Growth Hub."
