Advice and support on everything from starting your own business to digital marketing, networking, exporting, funding, and recruitment will be included in the programme of activities from November 14 to 18.

The Marches Growth Hub provides a single point of access to business support information in the region. It’s hub venue in Herefordshire is at the University of Wolverhampton’s Hereford Business Solutions Centre, based on Skylon Park, Rotherwas.

The week kicks off on Tuesday (Nov 15) with a Futures Forum exploring the latest grants and funding available as well as a free Business Start-Up seminar giving an overview of the essentials to consider when setting up a business.

Paul Hinkins, Chairman of the Marches Growth Hub, said: "Global Entrepreneurship Week aims to inspire people to explore their potential as self-starters and innovators.

"There is a diverse range of events on offer that will cater for everyone from people who are looking to set up their own business to those already running a successful organisation.

"It will echo the business support and advice that is available all year around through the Marches Growth Hub via our website, dedicated helpline or face to face service."

Gary Dimmock, Business Solutions Centre Manager, added: "Our free Start-Up seminar is always a really popular event, aimed at providing help and support to anyone who wants to set up and run their own successful new business. We’ll be looking at a variety of topics including business planning, the legalities involved in running a business and covering the important issue of taxation."

Other sessions throughout the week will give an insight into improving your digital marketing, export advice, a legal surgery and the chance for existing SMEs to hear from the Department of Work and Pensions about funding available for recruitment and business growth.

Companies looking to grow through international trade can attend an Export Licence Business Breakfast on November 16 and the following day sees a focus on social enterprise. The final event will be an introduction to the Herefordshire Directors Forum, led by Tim Kidson, of Kidsons Solicitors.
