A grant is funding for your business for a specific project or purpose. You won't need to pay a grant back (subject to meeting the grant terms and conditions), but there's a lot of competition and they are almost always awarded for a specific purpose or project.
Those that are available may require you to match the funds you're awarded, for example, a grant might cover part of the cost of a project but you'll have to fund some of it yourself.
New European Union funded schemes for business are currently being launched and as they go live, we will list them below and you will also find them on our Support Finder Tool.
Launched in July 2016, the Business Growth Programme (BGP) is a £33 million scheme which offers grants of between £10,000 to £200,000 for eligible businesses in Herefordshire, Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin. For more information, visit the BGP page on this website.
Opened for applications in February 2017, The Marches Building Investment Grant is a £2.5m fund available to eligible SME businesses to extend or renovate of commercial business premises and create jobs. It is anticipated that the scheme will attract private sector match funding of up to £3m and create a total of 130 jobs. For more information, visit the MBIG page on this website.
The Business Energy Efficiency Programme (BEEP) is available throughout Herefordshire, Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin offering FREE energy assessments and grants to small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs).
