Join Nettie Edwards, internationally acclaimed iPhone photographer, as she walks you through the features of SNAPSEED: a popular, professional photo editing app that’s very easy to learn to use yet incredibly powerful.
Free and available for both Android and iOS mobile devices, Snapseed is compatible with any phone or tablet device with Android OS 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) or later installed. Nettie will be demonstrating on her iPhone, but all the features are the same.
To get the most from this workshop, you may wish to download and install Snapseed on your phone or tablet in advance.
You may also need to update your operating system. A cheap stylus for working on the screen will also be useful.
What will be included in this webinar?
In this webinar Nettie Will first walk you through each of the basic features of Snapseed including:
- Simple edits such as straightening, cropping, and adjusting exposure
- Using Snapseed’s menu of ready-to-go “looks” that make photos pop with just the press of a button.
- Making portraits “glow”, fixing blemishes or erasing unwanted elements from your photographs.
- Playing with vintage effects
- Adding vignettes and frames
- Adding text to your photographs
- An introduction to Snapseed’s more advanced editing features
- How to create a unified look across all of your edited photographs
- Saving your photographs, ready to use in publicity material

About the facilitator
In 2009, Nettie became an early innovator of the Smartphone Photography and Arts movement, running the world’s first iPhone photography workshops and writing the first ever published tutorials. Her award-winning images have been published and exhibited widely here in the UK and internationally. She is regularly invited to give presentations and run workshops to camera clubs and organisations such as The Royal Photographic Society, BBC Wildlife Photographer of the Year, London’s Natural History and Science Museums. She was a named as a contemporary experimental photography reference in the 2019 A-level Art & Design paper for Pearson Edexel. Her work can be viewed at: Instagram @lumilyon
