The Shrewsbury Water Forum is an informal professional business networking group aimed at promoting the water science sector, with links to the Centre for Research into Environmental Science and Technology at University Centre Shrewsbury ([email protected]).

The evening event will include technical talks from hydrogeologists on groundwater and mining. It is also an opportunity to network with others working in groundwater and surface water related fields. The subjects covered will include:

  • Felip Ortuno (Wood) Groundwater models for dewatering plans and slope-stability designs in mines

  • Barnaby Harding (Stantec) - Groundwater and surface water issues at the Woodsmith Mine site
