The Marches Growth Hub Telford has joined forces with a panel of expert consultants called “The Growth Hub Gurus” to deliver a program of virtual workshops to help Marches based businesses thrive in 2021.
This online workshop is for businesses within Telford and Wrekin, Shropshire and Hereford.
Delivered by our Growth Hub Guru Marina Ibrahim this workshop is specifically designed to help you avoid cultural pitfalls when dealing with international clients.
With an increasing number of companies doing business internationally there are numerous opportunities to collaborate, perform and build new relationships. However if you don’t get yourself culturally prepared, then you lose trust right from the beginning.
With each new opportunity comes hidden pitfalls around culture, ways of working and communication, not to mention language barriers. Only when businesses learn to appreciate and understand subtle cultural differences are they able to work, communicate and collaborate more effectively with colleagues, clients, and partners in multicultural settings.

Feedback from previous webinar attendees:
“Attended ‘Cultural Pitfalls in International Project Management’ organised by PMI UK. Having worked in Asia, EMEA and US I found the subject resonated with me. Anyone planning to work and do business internationally will of course bring their own cultural perspectives and preconceived ideas about their international counterparts and knowing little about the other culture may either believe they are succeeding or getting nowhere. Marina can help give insight on why and how to adapt. I highly recommend Marina.”
“I recently attended a Project Management webinar where Marina was giving us insight into the world of Culture. I was left absolutely fascinated by Marina’s presentation and was totally engrossed throughout it. She is very knowledgeable in this area and totally engaging as a speaker so that you want to listen to every word and not miss anything. I was so drawn into the subject that I was left wanting more information after the event. Having worked in the UK and internationally I understand cross cultural differences and how this can affect communication, but never realised that there was so much more to learn on this subject. Marina is an excellent communicator, and I would highly recommend her services.”
