You are invited to take part in the Cybercrime Training Workshops run by the University of Portsmouth Cybercrime Awareness Clinic. These workshops are part of our collaboration with the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) for a project that seeks to enhance the cybercrime/cybersecurity awareness and resilience of small-medium enterprises (SMEs) across the UK. The Growth Hubs serve as amplification partners in this project through your participation in these workshops after agreement with your Cluster Leads.
The aims of these workshops are to enable you to have more informed, effective and in-depth discussions about these topics with your clients in order to help them better prepare to tackle cybercrime threats and manage any relevant incidents.
The workshops are delivered in a hybrid mode, combining asynchronous delivery (pre-recorded videos and accompanying slides) with live sessions. The live sessions will follow engaging with the pre-recorded videos, with the aim to consolidate the knowledge from the pre-recorded sessions through discussion of relevant case-studies and questions. When registering for the workshops on Eventbrite, please be sure to register for both days (Tuesday and Wednesday) by selecting both dates separately.
In order to facilitate the discussion during our live sessions, we have created preparation notes for each session. The pre-recorded videos and the preparation notes will be provided with subsequent emails nearer the event date once you have registered via this Eventbrite for the live sessions using the email address you have registered with. We would really appreciate it if you could watch the pre-recorded videos and undertake the preparation prior to coming to the online live sessions. The zoom links to the live sessions will be sent separately a few days before the event via email for security reasons.
Thank you for taking part in the workshops.
