Understanding the media and how to leverage it to build you and your business – 26th Jan

TV, radio, print journalism. Commercial radio – Breakfast shows, music shows, being in a news bulletin. BBC national and local platforms. Different formats with differing requirements and aims – understanding this will make it easier for you to maximise the opportunity and make it more likely you’ll be asked back.

Pitching yourself and your content to get through the door – 2nd Feb

Identifying and refining your offering and drilling down to find your USP. Creating stories and hooking into current events to remain relevant.

Making the most of your opportunity – 9th Feb

We help you maximise your opportunity by teaching you the questions you must ask when the interview is being set up.

Who is your audience – 16th Feb

About The Presenters

Ed Nell has nearly 20 years experience on BBC and commercial radio stations, working on flagship shows in major markets at Key 103, Hallam FM, Free Radio, BBC Nottingham, BBC Coventry & Warwickshire, Beacon Radio, Wyvern FM & BRMB. As an event host Ed has worked for West Bromwich Albion and Birmingham City football clubs, Warwickshire County Cricket Club, Cancer Research UK and Sport for Life International. An experienced interviewer, public speaker, event host and certified corporate trainer, Ed is passionate about sharing his knowledge to make you a more effective, confident and capable communicator.

Ben Anderson has managed and coached some of the UK’s best radio talent over the last ten years, starting his career as a producer and presenter on the Capital FM Birmingham Breakfast Show before moving on to produce Free Radio Breakfast for the Black Country & Shropshire. As Managing Editor for Capital FM in Liverpool and North Wales he worked on projects for some of the UK’s biggest brands, producing campaigns for Liverpool Football Club, The Clothes Show, The Jockey Club, Creamfields and many more.
