The Composites and Additive Layer Materials Research Innovation Centre (CALMERIC) based in Telford can assist local businesses with a focus on Composites and Additive Layer technologies. The centre will be equipped with new up to date modern equipment e.g. composites compression moulding press, high frequency fatigue testing system, ultrasonic NDT testing machine to name a few which will enable the centre to provide businesses expertise knowledge and academic support aiming to improve their innovation levels and productivity.

Particular emphasis is placed upon the use of advanced materials and technologies that result in improved components (lighter, less material usage, improved function/strength) e.g. fatigue testing, non-destructive testing.
