Advice for businesses on how to remain resilient and grow will be available at a free event in Telford on March 18 organised by two leading business support organisations.

The Marches Growth Hub Telford and Shropshire Chamber of Commerce have joined forces for the special event at the Conference Centre at the Telford Campus of the University of Wolverhampton in Priorslee that will run from 11am to 2pm

Experts will be on hand to share advice on trading beyond the exit from the EU and provide advice on issues including recruitment, finance and funding, employment and management of domestic and foreign nationals, intellectual property, international trade services including language, culture and documentation, European agency & consumer law and VAT.

They will also be able to help businesses affected by the recent floods to complete a grant application form.

Claire Critchell, Growth Hub Manager, said: "Our withdrawal from the EU will bring about significant change to different sectors and our aim is to show businesses how to effectively manage these changes creating business resilience.

"This is unchartered territory so we would urge businesses to ensure they are armed with as much knowledge as possible to prepare themselves for a different trading environment and one in which they can thrive."
