A series of six free training workshops is being launched in Herefordshire to help support the county’s tourism and leisure businesses.
The training sessions have been put together by the Marches Growth Hub Herefordshire, Visit Herefordshire and Fastershire to pass on vital advice to help businesses grow and flourish.
The first of the events – Marketing Fundamentals for Tourism and Leisure Businesses – is being staged at the Growth Hub’s base at the Hereford Business Solutions Centre on Skylon Court at noon on February 27.
A spokesman for the event said: "Too often we focus on how many ‘likes’ we have on Facebook, the number of visits to our website, social engagement etc, without paying attention to the things that really matter.
"Our Faster Business advisors will take you through ten fundamentals of good marketing and will look at social media, email campaigns, search optimisation, web statistics and show how to get leads and increase conversions."
Other topics covered in the event include photography, video and website essentials, CRM, networking, promotion and how to protect your business and personal data.
A complimentary networking lunch and refreshments will also be provided for all attendees.

The second of the six sessions – Social Media Strategy Essentials for Tourism and Leisure Businesses – will take place at the same venue at noon on March 5.
Faster Business advisor Jack McCaughtrie will demonstrate how to better manage your social media channels and generate a better return for your time.
The event will show attendees how to forward plan, set objectives, identify opportunities, better allocate resources and effectively integrate social media into your business, with training focussing on explaining a social media strategy, how it can benefit businesses and help them understand their audience.

The third session – Video & Photography Essentials for Tourism and Leisure Businesses – also takes place at the Hereford Business Solutions Centre, at noon on March 12.
