TravelFund could help Covid-19 recovery

Hereford_Pedicargo_copyBusinesses across Herefordshire are being urged to apply for a grant which could help their recovery from the coronavirus lockdown.

The TravelFund grant for businesses and organisations is funded by the Department for Transport and offers funding for equipment to support sustainable access to work and the reduction of business mileage.

This year applications which could help businesses as they emerge from the Covid-19 crisis are being prioritised.

A spokesman for the scheme said: "As a Travel for Work member, you can apply now for up to £2,000 for:

•Home working equipment

•Cargo bikes for business use

"As usual, you can apply for up to 100% of the costs of new equipment, up to a total £2,000.

"The priority for this year’s grant scheme is supporting remote access to work over the coming months. The scheme can also support businesses wishing to deliver goods by bike."

More information and guidance about the scheme can be found at http://www.herefordshire.gov.uk/travelfundgrant

The grants are available on a first come, first served basis and you should find out if your application has been successful within two weeks.

Companies wanting to apply for items not listed in this year’s scheme (such as electric pool bikes or cycle parking) should get in touch to discuss if they can apply for these items. For help with applications contact [email protected]
