Small Businesses Urged to Get Support from Government Finance Hub

Small business owners in the Marches area are being encouraged to get financial support from the British Business Bank Finance Hub to help grow their enterprises or get their ideas off the ground.

Set up to specifically to help small businesses, the digital hub, is designed to help businesses understand what financial support is available to them.

It works with more than 100 partners such as banks, leasing companies, venture capital funds and web-based platforms to help business owners find the right kind of finance for their company.

Although Government-owned The British Business Bank is independently managed to provide expertise to smaller businesses.

To date it has helped more than 74,000 growing businesses find the right finance to help them realise growth plans and ambitions.

The digital hub provides advice on a range of issues from how equity finance can transform a business, to steps on preparing for a meeting with investors and when a business should consider several different sources of funding.

Its programmes are designed to benefit start-ups, high growth businesses or those which are viable but underfunded.

The British Business Bank does not lend or invest directly. Businesses apply for finance through its partners and its ambition is to unlock £10 billion of new finance to help small enterprises grow and flourish.
