Green transport technology

The Hub News Team | 24.7.19

rural motorway m54Fleet managers across the region are being urged to take part in a special survey about the shift to green transport technology.

Midlands Connect has teamed up with Cenex, an independent not-for-profit consultancy specialising in low carbon technologies, to launch the short survey about alternative fuels and technologies.

The results will be used to help develop new strategies and policies for the region. A spokesman for Cenex said: "Cenex is working on behalf of Midlands Connect, a partnership organisation which aims to deliver economic and social benefits for the Midlands and the rest of the UK.

"We are helping them understand how alternative fuels for road freight may impact and benefit the Midlands region, and what new policies may be required. This includes investigating the potential benefits and drawbacks of alternative fuels and infrastructure. We will report our findings to Midlands Connect later this year.

"This survey is open to fleets which are based or operate in the Midlands. It's important we gather as many responses as possible to ensure the views of the fleet sector are properly represented in this research."
