Published: February 11th, 2020

A key manifesto outlining the major priorities for the business community across Herefordshire and Worcestershire will be launched at a special event next month.

HW ChamberHerefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce will take the wraps off its 2020 Business Manifesto at the breakfast event at Yamazaki Mazak UK Limited, in Badgeworth Drive, Worcester, on March 20.

The manifesto – which features a contribution by Marches Local Enterprise Partnership director Gill Hamer – has been produced after a consultation exercise involving more than 4,000 businesses.

A chamber spokesman said: "Following a period of intense quantitative and qualitative consultation we will launch our report detailing the Chamber’s key business priorities for local and national government.

"Areas covered in the 2020 Business Manifesto will include, but are not limited to, people & skills, physical & digital infrastructure, international trade and the role of business in a sustainable economy.

"You will be able to find out more about the key areas we are championing at the event. Focusing on key barriers to growth identified by you, we will outline the opportunities and challenges on the horizon during 2020."

The chamber says tickets for the 7.30am event – which is free to both members and non-members and will also feature an update from Director General of the Chamber of Commerce, Adam Marshall – are already being snapped up and has urged businesses to book their places without delay.
