Are you prepared for Brexit?

Published: July 9th, 2019

brexitIt’s not exactly gone quiet on the Brexit front – but since the leadership campaign for the Conservative Party got under way it has definitely slipped down the news agenda.

But the fact that it’s not leading the news bulletins every night does not mean that Brexit has gone away. Far from it.

The UK now faces a deadline of Halloween to leave – assuming, of course, we don’t negotiate an extension to that cut off date beforehand.

And there’s still plenty of work going on in the background to make sure we are prepared for our departure as a country – whatever form it takes.

The Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy issues regular briefings on the steps it is taking to help make sure business is ready for Brexit, and we publish relevant updates from BEIS regularly on our website here.

In fact, our Brexit advice pages should give you the answers to most of your questions regarding our withdrawal from the EU, with information from the Government, Federation of Small Businesses, HMRC, British Chambers of Commerce and many more.

We can help tell you what to expect on day one of a No Deal Brexit, should there be one, and we also take an in-depth look at possible tariffs, the impact on specific sectors such as agriculture and a country by country guide to exporting.

And we’re even holding our own Marches Growth Hub Brexit Preparation Survey to see just how prepared businesses across our region are.

It only takes a couple of minutes to complete but the information we gather could be vital in helping ensure the Marches is well placed to deal with Brexit whatever challenges and opportunities it throws at us.

We’d love to hear your thoughts. Just click here to complete the survey.
