Ambitious female entrepreneurs encouraged to take business to the next level

Female entrepreneurs across the Marches are being sought to get involved with one of the UK's leading mentoring programmes for businesswomen.
The Women Business Leaders' Mentoring Programme delivered by Santander in partnership with Women Ahead aims to take ambitious women and their enterprises to the highest level.
The next programme will run from March to November 2020 and to apply for a place you'll need to be either the owner or majority shareholder of a business with an annual turnover of up to £6.5m. You'll also need to be serious about progressing your business; be capable of scaling up and boosting local employment opportunities and be ready to be mentored.
Those securing a place on the programme will be matched carefully with a business mentor and together you will work towards achieving the next stage of professional development within your business.
To help mentees think differently and innovatively, the programme will match them with someone from a different business sector and both male and female mentors are involved in the scheme.
Businesswomen will have regular contact with their mentor and will work together to establish areas of development to enable business growth and professional development over the course of the nine month programme.
The Women Business Leaders' Mentoring Programme was developed out of Santander's commitment to the Government's Investing in Women Code.
The code was launched in 2019 and founded from the Alison Rose Review of Female Entrepreneurship.
