A programme of workshops will help Shropshire businesses boost their chances of winning tenders and getting funding.
The Marches Growth Hub Shropshire is staging the series of four workshops open to all businesses in Shropshire to help them hone their skills in applying for contracts and funding.
Growth hub manager Emma Chapman urged businesses to attend all four sessions to gain a comprehensive overview of just what is required to win new business and successfully explore funding opportunities.
"If you have to respond to calls for tender, write applications for funding or submit proposals to clients to win new business, then these engaging workshop sessions are for you.
"The course is aimed at SMEs, charities, social enterprises, entrepreneurs, growth managers and anyone looking to grow their business through tendering, bid writing and grant applications."
The first workshop is on October 1 at 9.30am and is a primer for the rest of the series, giving an overview of bidding, funding applications, your experiences and getting to know the presenters.
The second session on October 8, at the same time, concentrates on sourcing opportunities and preparing to bid, examining where tender and funding opportunities can be found, deciding whether to bid, the resources needed and some of the content and processes required.
The third workshop on October 15 gets to grips with bid writing and completing funding applications, looking at ways to improve your chances of success and writing a winning funding application.
The series concludes with the final session on October 22 which will review the lessons learnt and also look at the submission process for bids and applications.
