North Base Medical Training is a dynamic training provider based in Shropshire, specialising in regulated First Aid & Fire Safety qualifications.
Offering practical and hands on courses, North Base delivers training on-site to its customers, whether on a one-to-one basis or in small groups of fewer than 12 learners.
Darren said: "We believe that to give the best training possible, the learner should always come first. For this reason we always keep our learner numbers to no more than 12. We are committed to making our training accessible to everyone and do our utmost to ensure an all inclusive environment that respects diversity and individual learner needs."
The business challenge
As well as first aid and fire safety training courses, the team at North Base can deliver bespoke courses and work with customers to develop effective training programmes.
Husband and wife team Darren and Rachel North come from emergency service and NHS backgrounds, which affords them a wealth of practical hands on experience. They hope to continue to develop their businesses which currently is delivering training to the public and private sector. They see the local business community as an area of growth for the company and aim to expand into these markets.
How the Marches Growth Hub helped
The Norths contacted the Marches Growth Hub after hearing about events and courses for new businesses. They were given a 1:1 session with a business advisor and attended a Start-Up workshop at the hub in Shrewsbury aimed at helping them to build their business.
