Entrepreneurs Exchange 2017 launched

Published: February 14th, 2017

Entrepreneurs Exchange, the nationwide programme that connects the next generation of British entrepreneurs with the UK’s most successful business founders, is to take place for the second time on March 2 2017.

A collection of top entrepreneurs from the worlds of e-commerce, fashion, food and beyond will share their stories and offer real business advice to the next generation of business leaders in 10 locations across the UK.

Attendees will find out how these established and successful entrepreneurs set up and grew their businesses, both in the UK and internationally, the challenges they have overcome to enable success, and the advice they wish they had been given when starting out.

The events are free and open to all, enabling attendees to build networks with other like-minded entrepreneurs in their region. They are being supported by HSBC UK as part of the bank’s commitment to SME banking.

International Trade Minister, Mark Garnier MP said:

"Entrepreneurs are the driving force of our economy and their ideas have spawned some of our most recognised brands that have gone on to enjoy international success. Initiatives like the Entrepreneurs Exchange play an important role in bringing together successful UK entrepreneurs with future business leaders to provide the advice and experience that will help them nurture their ideas and bring them to audiences far beyond the UK.

"The government is also ensuring entrepreneurs have the support they need in reaching new markets, that’s why we launched our new export hub, great.gov.uk, providing free advice, financial and regulatory support and live export opportunities to match new businesses."

Anya Hindmarch, founder of Anya Hindmarch said:

"Founding and developing a business is both rewarding and challenging. Huge satisfaction comes from watching a business you have set up grow and thrive. But being an entrepreneur can be lonely at times, especially at the beginning, when you need lots of practical advice. By bringing together a collection of entrepreneurs across the country, on one day, in 10 locations, our goal is help Britain’s next generation of entrepreneurs kick start their growth and reach out to markets around the world."

Entrepreneurs Exchange is business-led, by entrepreneurs for entrepreneurs. The founders taking part in the events are, among others: Anya Hindmarch CBE – Anya Hindmarch, Ray Kelvin CBE – Ted Baker, Craig Sams – Green & Blacks, and Holly Tucker – Not on the high street and Holly&Co. All companies which have expanded to various markets overseas, helping drive their success.
